The organisers of the Ghana Music Awards – USA have announced Ghanaian event MC and media personality MC Portfolio as the official red carpet host for the 2026 edition of the annual ceremony.

The announcement was made by the board of the scheme ahead of the upcoming nominee unveiling, which is expected to be revealed soon.

MC Portfolio, who hails from the Ashanti Region and has built a reputation as one of Ghana's most recognisable voices on the events circuit, will take charge of the red carpet proceedings as the awards scheme prepares for what promises to be a landmark edition.

The Ghana Music Awards – USA has over the years, positioned itself as a key platform celebrating Ghanaian music and its creatives on the international stage, serving as a bridge between Ghana's vibrant music industry and its diaspora communities across North America.

The MC brings considerable credentials to the role. He is the 2024 Guinness Ghana MC/Hypeman of the Year. Known for his sharp delivery, crowd command, and bilingual versatility, MC Portfolio has hosted numerous high-profile events across Ghana and internationally.

The 2026 edition of the Ghana Music Awards – USA will be held at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom on August 8th, with the full nominees list anticipated to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
