Ghanaian musician Mzbel has sparked controversy on social media following claims she made about the conduct of some pastors.

In a video shared on X on March 24, 2026, Mzbel recounted her experience of dating a pastor, whose identity she chose not to disclose.

According to her, the pastor frequently used aphrodisiacs, adding that their relationship eventually ended due to concerns about how he was allegedly misleading his church members.

“The pastors you believe in do press-ups and take local aphrodisiacs to boost their manhood. I dated a pastor for about four to five years. It got to a point where he realised I knew that what he was telling his church members was not true.

“I advised him to stop misleading his members, but he told me he couldn’t, so I ended the relationship. He even begged me. Anytime I met him, he would kneel before me,” she said.

The “16 Years” hitmaker further alleged that the pastor used to send her pictures of money collected from church members, along with other inappropriate images.

She also claimed that the pastor had issues with alcohol.

“If he misbehaves, I may one day mention his name. He knows himself. Despite everything, he is controversial on social media.

“Anytime he goes out to preach and collects money from people, he takes pictures of it and sends them to me, sometimes alongside alcohol, showing off what he has made,” she added.
