With Cina Soul’s debut album “Did I Lie,” released in September 2025, not making the list of nominated Albums/EPs for the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, the singer has disclosed that she has petitioned Charterhouse, organisers of the awards, to seek clarification on why her album did not make the list.
The nominees for Album/EP of the Year at the 2026 awards are Iron Boy by Black Sherif, Torcher by Stonebwoy, After Midnight by Gyakie, Disturbation 2 by Medikal, Ready by Wendy Shay, and Walk With Me by Kweku Smoke.
Reacting to her omission, Cina Soul said she expected her album to have made the list.
Speaking on Onua TV on March 21, 2026, the singer said she petitioned Charterhouse for only Album of the Year but would have loved to be nominated for Collaboration of the Year as well because her collaboration with Stonebwoy, “Larger Than Life” which was also part of the album did really well.
My melodies appear to me in dreams – Cina Soul reveals
“For now only Album of the Year. I would have wanted the Collaboration of the Year as well because I think my collaboration with Stonebwoy did really well,” Cina Soul indicated.
The nominees for the 27th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards were announced on March 14, 2026, but organisers of the awards scheme, Charterhouse, have a 7-day window to give individuals the opportunity to challenge the information submitted about nominees.
This means that if there’s anybody contesting any information, or if there’s any information submitted to the board that is inaccurate, they are open to receiving corrections from the public to address it.
The seven-day provisional window is the channel through which one can challenge a nomination or file a dispute.
