Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has called on the youth of Ghana to embrace discipline and seize opportunities in agribusiness as a pathway to securing their future.
The award‑winning musician made the appeal while speaking at the Youth in Palm Plantation summit, held under the theme, “Empowering the Youth in Agribusiness.”
The initiative seeks to tackle youth unemployment by promoting palm plantation and other agricultural ventures as viable career options.
Addressing attendees, Shatta Wale emphasized that there is wealth to be made within Ghana if young people remain focused and committed to their goals.
He encouraged the youth to shift their mindset and explore opportunities locally rather than being overly eager to travel abroad.

“There’s a bigger picture ahead when you have patience and when you have time to move mountains, and I believe that’s what I’ve been able to do all these years. I know people say Shatta doesn’t travel and all that, but I tell people, when you are disciplined and focused, there’s money to be made in Ghana.
"Most importantly, when you are affiliated with the key people of this country to guide and protect you, it will make your business grow,” he said.
Shatta Wale further urged the youth to follow in his footsteps by building businesses that can sustain themselves and their families.
“The youth in palm plantation is something very dear to my heart. This is the opportunity for you to become the person you want to be. I urge every youth of Ghana to follow the directives and what I am doing so that we can all feed ourselves and our families. This is a big opportunity for us, and I want everybody to support,” he added.
