“We Bow Down and Worship Yahweh,” the internationally acclaimed worship anthem sung in churches around the world, has been revealed to have been composed by Ghanaian gospel singer Kofi KariKari, a revelation that has left many media personalities stunned.

During a discussion on Max TV, the presenters expressed disbelief that a song sung in almost every church across the world was composed by a Ghanaian.

Kofi KariKari urged the media personalities to even check online platforms like YouTube, where it is clearly attributed to him.

When asked whether many Ghanaians know him as the original composer, Kofi KariKari pointed out what he described as a common trend in the country that he believes needs to change.

He explained that when Ghanaians hear a song, they often assume it comes from the West and rarely take the time to find out who actually composed it.

He explained that the simplicity of his songs contributes to this misconception.

“My songs are mostly simple, so when you hear them in church, you get used to them. Ghanaians often don’t bother checking online who composed them because they assume the music is for a foreign artiste,” Kofi KariKari said.

On the question of what his team did to manage the song’s popularity, the gospel singer noted that the timing of its release played a role.

“When I released ‘We Bow Down and Worship Yahweh,’ the internet wasn’t really big, so many people weren’t connected online. Even the registration of the song took some time,” he explained.
