Popular American streamer and content creator Kai Cenat has returned to Lagos for his second visit to Nigeria.
The personality arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, to a lively band performance, a moment that quickly went viral on social media and drew widespread excitement from fans.
The visit comes almost a year after his first trip to the country, during which he announced plans to invest $5 million into building a school for children in Makoko, the waterfront community often referred to as Lagos’ floating slum.
However, the project reportedly encountered setbacks due to land acquisition challenges and regulatory approvals.

As a result, the plans were later adjusted, with the school site relocated to Yaba, a more stable area of Lagos.
Despite the change, Cenat has maintained that children from Makoko will benefit from the initiative, assuring that they will receive free education once the school is completed and operational.
Cenat provided updates on the project during his livestreaming Mafiathon 3 in September 2025, revealing that more than $1 million had already been raised toward the initiative.
Following his arrival on Wednesday, the streamer paid a courtesy visit to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The governor shared pictures of himself and Cenat, noting that they discussed the school project, its operations, and other youth-focused initiatives.
Cenat described Nigeria as the first country where he “felt 100% love.”
More videos circulating online showed Cenat interacting with local influencers, joking about Nigerian food and culture, and playfully expressing interest in finding a “Nigerian queen.”
Many fans have since expressed pride in the warm reception he received and praised him for keeping his commitments.
