The second wife of the late Highlife legend Daddy Lumba, Odo Broni, paid an emotional tribute to her husband, affirming that nothing can diminish the truth of the love they shared.
In a tribute delivered on her behalf during the final funeral rites at Heroes Park in Kumasi on December 13, 2025, Priscilla Ofori, known as Odo Broni, looked back on the honour, dignity and happiness her husband brought into her life.
She said their bond remains a clear answer to every harsh or unkind narrative.

“My king, my protector, if your spirit still walks among us, then let the truth itself be our defence. Let the love we shared be the flame that burns away every lie. Let the dignity with which you stood by me, the honour with which you uplifted me, and the peace you gave me speak against every cruel tongue,” she said.
She made it clear that she would not allow negativity to cloud her memories of their life together.
“I will not give in to their malice, and I will not allow their venom to stain what we shared. You treated me like a queen. You gave me a family and you gave me joy. That truth will live on and outlast every lie,” Odo Broni added.
Speaking about the lasting place Daddy Lumba holds in her life, she noted that even in his absence, his presence remains strong.
“Though some try to hurt me, they cannot erase the truth that I was your joy, your peace, and your chosen home. My husband, my king, even though you have left this world, you live on in my heart,” she said.
She concluded by telling mourners that the love they shared remains untouched by loss or adversity.
“Even as I walk this path alone now, I will walk with the memory of your love. No lie, no attack, no cruelty can ever erase it. Let them speak if they wish, for the lion king still reigns in spirit, and his roar will always guard the love we shared,” she added.
Daddy Lumba, who passed away on July 26, 2025, at the Bank Hospital, was laid to rest on December 13, 2025, after months of family disputes and legal tussles that delayed his burial.
