Mzbel Shuns Manager Again

Information reaching Hi Newspaper has it that Ghana's undoubtedly sexiest/ hottest female singer/rapper, Mzbel has parted ways with Paradise Entertainment owned by Boomerang niteclub boss, Duke Banson.

If confirmed, this would be the fifth manager Mzbel has dropped in five years- a cool average of a manager per year. But is it always the artist’s fault when they break up with their manager or it is due to the caretaker’s incompetence thereby leaving the artist no choice but to do the dumping? This is the essence of Hi’s probe.

Since her 2005 hit, 'Awoso Me' through to '16 Years', 'Kiss Me' and 'Saucy Girl', she's passed through the management hands of Dan Eshun (Hush Hush), Goodies Music, Leke (0ndbox), Nii Mantse before landing on Paradise Entertainment.

Mzbel (real name- Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah) wouldn't confirm nor deny the story when Hi Newspaper spoke to the saucy girl on Monday night. However, a more-than-reliable sources close to the 'Run Away' hitmaker's camp has hinted Hi Newspaper that for some time now, matters concerning Mzbel's career have earned no attention of Duke Banson.

“Even when she launched her latest album at La Palm Hotel, under Paradise Management, her boss Duke was allegedly not that supportive. He made time to attend the Ghana Music Awards launch on the same night before coming to Mzbel's launch as aguest.” Our source who prefers anonymity revealed about two weeks ago in Accra.

Strange, as Hi has learned, Paradise and Mzbel have no management contract as you read this. “This is possibly a reason for the loose treatment by Paradise to the biggest female act on the management label that homes the most top stars under the same roof”, our source suggested.

With heavyweight label mates 4X4, V.I.P, Mimi, Sallah, (and Quataa), it is obvious Paradise Entertainment must have enough creative minds and hands to successfully create business for their artistes; “and not only negotiate shows for them”.

When Hi contacted a member of team Paradise (name withheld), 'she' threw in sarcasm: “If Mzbel is not with us, why would you call to ask about her. I don't know about any tour”. But another source at Paradise claims that Mzbel has been traveling too often since they started business hence difficult to put up a plan for her. This same source at Paradise confirmed, Mzbel did not sign a contract with Paradise all this while.
