Gabby ? Gospel King of The Airwaves

Undoubtedly, the liberalization of the country?s airwaves and its resultant emergence of private Radio and TV stations has led to the unearthing of a cream of talented but hitherto unknown presenters and broadcasters who have taken the radio industry especially to a different level.

Although some of these young presenters did not have any formal training in broadcasting, their self-less devotion and eagerness to learn on the jobs have propelled them to greater heights in the radio arena.

One such radio personality who has over the years become a household name so far as radio presentation is concerned and draws a lot of anxious listeners to his programmes is the queit and unassuming Gabriel Arko, populary known as Gabby of Radio Hit 103.7 FM, located in Accra.

Undoubtedly , Gabby easily stands out as one of the top radio presenters in the hihgly competitive Accra radio scene. According to him, though the torturous road to the top has not been easy and smooth sailing, the journey has been worth the hustle.

In the opinion of many radio listeners in Accra and beyond especially the gospel followers, Gabby is arguably the best gospel presenter in the capital. His excellent gospel musical selection in the morning has earned him numerous listeners who keep the dials on 103.7 FM whenever he comes on air.

Apart from his normal gospel programmes in the mornings and late afternoons, Gabby also presents the popular Ghana Gospel Music Chart show, which is aired on Fridays between 2:00pm and 4:30pm. The programme highlights the Top 15 Hit Local Gospel Songs in the country. Gabby?s rise to fame on radio began on VIBE 91.9 FM before he finally landed at Radio Hit 103.7 FM where he is about the best presenter.
