'Lover Boy' Scores With New Album

Ever since Nana Acheampong, the Lover Boy, began his career as a musician, he has never been found wanting in search of laurels.

With consipirancy, he has exhausted the gamut of highlife music and gone beyond to experiment the other musical forms.

In order to avoid monotony and let his music stay on the stagnant waters, he has time and again, crossed the borderline into other musical realms.

This, he has demnstrated by cutting tracks like 'Sweet Baby' and 'Gyegye Me So', all reggae laced hit.

To improve more upon his earlier exploits, he released 'Men Su Su' which is the one of the rhythmic patterns of South Africa's Lucky Dube.

Nana Acheampong has succeeded in taking reggae to another dimension and crowned it better with his latest album 'Abu Aka Mesim'. The album, a twelve-track explifies Nana's gift of lyrical excellence.

The opening track ' Nea Wabre Na Odi', is a danceable, souka flavoured highlife.

'Ben Me' is is a danceable highlife love track with good instrumentation. The third track which is the title track is plentifully laden with love lyrics and expressions like'Sea Never Dry', 'Odo Ada Me Trimu', 'Odo Ntiase', all expressing love in superfluity.

The fourth track 'Brebre Obaahema' is another love somg with a message of 'shaming ' each other's love.

The fifth track is characterised by some percentage of Meiway's Zoblazo rhythms, and is entitled 'Ever Ready'. It is sang in English and Twi with a good lyrical arrangement.

This album is unique and could be monumental with a chance of being a huge success in days to come.
