Jael Wiafe Sings ?Bohye?

Jael Wiafe Jael Wiafe the beautiful musician who entered the world of gospel music a little over a year ago has just released her second album onto the market. This album which is titled Bohye does not come with the hard-core rap that signified her first appearance with tracks like Obonsam Hwe and Prodigal.

However, Jael says she is the same person in terms of character, style and commitment to the things of God as well as her music career. ?My style has not changed so much for you would realise that on my previous album it was only Obonsam Hwe and Prodigal which had that style of rap that most people have been talking about,? she said.

?This new album does not have that type of music but knowing how people feel about it I have a song that was done with a ragga touch to it so that those who will miss the rap would be compensated with the ragga,? Jael said confidently.

According to the singer the current album is a mission she has embarked upon to consolidate the initial following that she had from some of the gospel enthusiasts in Ghana. One has to listen to the tracks on the album to know how talented she is. Jael says it is a way of expressing the good things that the Lord has been doing in her life ever since she became born again.

The most beautiful track on this album and one that has been enjoying a lot of airplay is W?gyeme translated to mean he ?has saved me?. Popular gospel songster Nana Yaw Asare was featured on this song and he does his bit to make a chart topping piece of work.

On this song Jael talks about how Christ had come to die for her and the salvation that his death brought her. She adds that because of what Christ did she would give her life to him.

It is a very subtle form of reggae with a mid to fast sort of rhythm to go with. Most dominating instrument on this track is the lead guitar which comes out strong very strong in all aspects of the song. Bottom line is that everything about W?gyeme is good and there is no doubt at all why the musician herself considers it as her favourite.

The title track Bohye is also a very good one and it is obvious from that Jael and her technicians, which includes Samuel Owusu, took time to produce it as regards the lyrics and the instrumentation. The words refer to how God has promised her that whatever he had said about her would come to pass.

The singer goes on to say that the Lord has said that she would no more, she would not weep no more and all her sorrows would end. The down hearted will find this song as a good inspiration for them to get over their worries since the Lord promise has a promise for them.
The song flows on a mid-tempo style reggae that has a good number of percussion and string instruments worked into it. A good piece of music by all standards.

There are other songs on this fresh one from Jael among them are Odo Pa, a song that appears twice on the album, one has a mid-tempo beat and the other rendered in a very slow manner. The album has other songs like Mogya, Tie Me, Anidaso (a live worship that features Andy Frimpong Manso), Nana Nyame, Yesu Kameho, and more.
