Zylofon Media devalued Becca’s brand after refusing to reveal signing details – Showbiz Pundit

The studio of Accra-based Kasapa FM nearly burst out when a regular showbiz pundit, Nana Tuffour claimed songstress Rebecca Acheampong, known in showbiz circles as Becca is not a celebrity.

The host of Kasapa Entertainment, Kojo Preko Dankwa was swift to tell the pundit to redraw and apologise for his harsh comment in describing the award winning artiste.

“… and you’ll call her a celebrity…celebrity my foot. Okay I accept to redraw… sorry,” Nana Tuffour said on Kasapa Entertainment on Kasapa 102.5FM.

Nana Tuffour, said Becca’s new deal with Zylofon Media has demeaned his brand owing to the fact that the signee is a significant personality in the music industry.

According to him, the credibility of research conducted to choose Becca over other artistes is doubtful because no proven document(s) was shown to prove it at the recent press conference held to sign and unveil the artist.

He predicted that Becca’s contract with Zylofon Media might not stand the test of time due to the hidden agenda of both parties involved.

Two other regular panel members on the show, Mel Kwesi Davis and Amess Kotei (DJ Amess) also expressed disappointments about the undisclosed details about the Becca’s deal.

Zylofon Media, an artiste management company barely six months after signing highlife crooner, Kumi Guitar, have also signed and unveiled beautiful and multiple award winning songstress Becca onto its Record label.

Kumi Guitar who signed a five (5) year contract with same company, was given a Hyundai Sonata 2016 model, 2017 registered in his name as stipulated in the contract, earned a sign-on fee of $100,000 and a 3/4 bedroom house but Becca’s deal was for three (3) years with an undisclosed package as indicated by the Chief Executive Officer of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah,

The occasion was witnessed by representatives from MTV Base Nigeria, Sound City Nigeria and Trace TV with all the influential local media representatives joining the unveiling.
