Yvonne Nelson Finds New Love

After her reported collapsed relationship with TV presenter Jon Germain, actress Yvonne Nelson, NEWS-ONE gathered, is breathing a fresh breeze of love.

Spanking new information from the camp of the tall actress, who has now become a force to reckon with in Ghana’s rising movie industry, indicates that her heart now beats to the tune of Ghanaian dynamo soccer star, Derrick Boateng.

Yvonne was last in the news for breaking an alleged relationship with Jon Germain who is a singer with an album to his credit.

Jon came out publicly to say he was dating Yvonne. But the ‘Princess Tyra’ actress denied being in any relationship with Jon, saying he is just a friend and they had met only twice.

The sharp contrast in explanations however has got a lot of fans confused as to who is being economical with the true.

In last week’s edition of NEWS-ONE, Jon confessed that they had a blissful secret love affair between them but had hit the rocks.

“It is over. When we were in this relationship, I saw things but I didn’t mind because I loved her.

I haven’t spoken to her in a week and I don’t feel like calling her and I know she does not also feel like calling me either. I am sure it is over.

I don’t know, my friends said in relationship, it happens that you can break up for one week and comeback. But in our case, I don’t know.

“As she was able to tell you that we are just friends, I don’t think she is really serious about me,” he was quoted.

A signal picked from his confession pointed to the fact that the two of them may have separately found new rhythms to their heartbeats even though Jon is feeling the heat as he still loves Yvonne.

NEWS-ONE sources say Yvonne has been seeing Derrick Boateng and that might be the cause of her divided attention and finally her alleged break with Jon Germain.

Derrick and Yvonne, the sources indicated, were once spotted having a nice time in one of the acclaimed joints off the Osu Oxford Street in Accra.

During the X’mas season, they were also seen in town cruising together. There have also been other claims of Derrick buying a deluxe phone for the actress.

But the actress denied any amorous relationship with the footballer. According to her, she grew up with Derrick in the same neighbourhood in Dansoman, and people are only taking advantage of their friendship to spread rumours that are unfounded.

“Derrick is my friend. Do you know we all live in Dansoman? I have known him since I was little and he hardly even lives in Ghana.

If anybody is saying we have something together, just let them know we are only friends,” she told NEWS-ONE on Sunday evening.

“I am sure during the X’mas celebrations, people saw me with him and they thought we have something together,” she added.

Yvonne however regretted how people always wanted to delve into her love affairs.

“I am in a relationship and I am always in a relationship. I always say that in my interviews. I am still with that same person but I will not mention his name. So how can I go behind him?” She asked rhetorically.

Revisiting her saga with Jon Germain, she once again emphasized there was absolutely nothing between them. “I have met him only twice in my life,” she disclosed.
