YFM ready to shake Ghana

Anyone who missed any of the two grand style launching of YFM 107.7 at the Accra Mall on Thursday November 20 and Friday November 21, 2008 have really missed the real experience of lifestyle radio as the two means of launching the official radio station for the young and young at heart was full of fun, excitement, education and entertainment.
The Corporate Launching on Thursday was meant to introduce the youthful station to the personalities and executives of the corporate world who could possibly do business with YFM and none of the VIP invited guest could complain because that style of launching has never happened in the history of Accra radio.
The corporate launching also witnessed the unveiling of the state of the art YFM studio at the first floor (Cinema Area) at the Accra Mall where the station would be operating from within the shortest possible time. Executives who were invited to the corporate launch also had the opportunity to watch the newly released James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace that drove them ?crazy? at the Silverbird classic cinema. Former Africa and FIFA World footballer of the year, was the special Guest of Honor. He used the occasion to advise the youth to uphold peace during the upcoming election.
The Friday evening launch dubbed the Young, Fresh and Green Party which was meant for the real target of the station was a real point of attraction at the Accra Mall with most young people ignoring the presence of some international artiste at the mall that evening just to know ?what?s up? with the station that has been at the fore front of exclusive music in Accra and its surrounded area for the past two months. It was a real evening worth being part of because all the Ghanaian hot musical sensational personalities could not hide their affiliation with the station than to put up a thrilling performance to tell the world that YFM is the radio experience of the moment.
Kwaw Kese, Okra, Sarkodie, Asem, 4x4, 55, Richie, Castro, Wanluv the Kubolor, O J Blaq, Pope Skinny, Scientific, Edem, D Blaq, Kwaku Tee, Sugar Ranking, Black Prophet and o host of others thrilled patrons to the maximium as they kept on dancing and cheering them up.
The launch also presented an opportunity for the Y Hot Squad (YFM Personalities) to be introduced to the listeners.
The presence p of YFM is sending extreme panic down the spines of some existing radio stations who sent spies to witness the launch. The station is indeed ready to break spines as it presenter personalities like the Super Soul Sister in the morning, uninterrupted music from underground big time djs during mid morning and afternoon and the Konckster, Nana Kwame Osei Sarpong on the drive. Also filling up are DJ Blow, Eddie Blay and Kweku Tee of Big Brother Africa fame.
