Xfm 95.1 and BusyInternet kicks of Goodwill Promotion

Accra, Dec. 14, GNA - Xfm 95.1, an Accra based radio station, and BusyInternet, an Internet service provider, on Monday announced the launch of a "Goodwill Promotion" to offer Ghanaians freebies from the corporate bodies.

The freebies include bicycles, sewing machines, T-shirts and hours of free Internet browsing. Mr Herbert Mensah, a Director of Xfm 95.1, said the promotion was designed to "light up the life" of people in Ghana during the Christmas festive season.

"The world has gone through a difficult period and many ordinary people are feeling the crunch. If we could, we would have liked to give something to every Ghanaian, but at least we can put a smile on some people's faces," he said.

Xfm 95.1 has acquired more than 100 bicycles and sewing machines as well as T-shirts to give out during the festive season. "When we were offered to partner with Xfm 95.1 in this venture, we had no hesitation to do so," said Mr. Komla Dzunu, Marketing Consultant of BusyInternet.

"BusyInternet led the Internet revolution in Ghana, and we are proud to also lead in this wonderful gesture to give something back to the community," he said.

The Xfm 95.1 - BusyInternet Goodwill Promotion will run from Monday, December 14 till January 4.

Xfm 95.1 will broadcast the promotion on the airways, for listeners to text the answer to an easy question to the Xfm 95.1 short code 1466. Every second day 12 winners will be drawn by BusyInternet and on selected days, the winning numbers will be drawn from a hat at BusyInternet's Ring Road Central Centre in Accra.
