Will Serena Ashi-Roye Be Miss World?

On Saturday, the Miss World pageant takes place in Sanya China. Ghana is represented by the reigning Miss Ghana, Serena Ashi-Roye.

This year's final, features 108 of the world's most beautiful women, representing countries from around the globe.

The competition is not only limited to the one night of glamour and elegance that you will watch on Saturday. The contestants have been busy with the Miss World Top Model competition, Miss World Talent competition, the Miss World Sports Award and Miss World Beach Beauty, gaining points along the way which will secure their entrance to the final.

Winners thus far are Miss Antigua, Shermain Jeremy, in the Talent competition, Miss Wales Amy Guy in the Sports competition Miss United States Nancy Randall in the Beach Beauty competition and Miss Mexico winning the Top model competition. Miss Ghana is yet to win, but you should keep your fingers crossed as miracles do happen. You can also vote for her on the Miss World official website (www.missworld.tv.

The gala finale, set to be broadcast live around the world to a viewership of more than 2.3 billion people will feature performances by multi-Grammy Award-winning soul sensation Lionel Ritchie and Simon Cowell's latest pet pop project, Il Divo. The event will be hosted by American reality TV star Troy McClain.

The 54th final of the pageant is going to be screened live on M-net at 4p.m. on Saturday.
