Popular TV presenter and socialite, Mona Gucci, has disclosed why she refused to speak out for her friend, Moesha Boduong, who is currently suffering from a stroke.

Back in 2020, following Mona Gucci's interview on Neat FM, where she labeled Moesha Boduong as an 'international slay queen,' an infuriated Moesha took to social media to slam her, attacking her fashion sense and indirectly addressing the 'slay queen' label.

Fast forward to February 2024, news broke that Moesha had suffered a stroke. Her brother, Ebito Boduong, confirmed the situation and initiated a fundraising campaign to cover her medical expenses.

Various celebrities and fans contributed to the fundraising campaign for Moesha. However, speaking on the 'Ladies Circle' show on TV3, Mona Gucci explained why she chose to distance herself from fundraising or any show of support.

'When my friend Moesha's issue came up, people kept asking me why I wasn't talking about Moesha's issue. The day I talked about slay queens, my own friend Moesha was the first to hammer back at me.

So, if today Moesha is going through something and they have to raise funds for her, why do you want me to come speak?

This is someone who has condemned me already, so why would I come to speak for her? This is something I won't do,' she said.
