Who will be the next Afia Schwarzenegger?

The popular television hit series ‘Afia Schwarzenegger’ is looking for a replacement for Nana Hemaa, after her contract with the programme expired.

Nana Hemaa has been conspicuously missing from the show for some weeks now, which has left many wondering what the problem was. But Deloris Frimpong Manso a.k.a Delay, who is also the producer of ‘Afia Schwarzenegger’, hinted on ‘The Delay Show’ last Friday that a new actress will replace Nana Hemaa.

She congratulated Nana Hemaa for winning an award for Best Actress in a TV series at last year’s Radio and Television Personality Awards.

Delay said she had already made it clear that the role of the main character in ‘Afia Schwarzenegger’ will be changed every year, adding that the role is not exclusive to just one person.

During the show last Saturday, it was announced that auditions will be held on Saturday August 31 at the Erata Hotel, and whoever emerges the ideal candidate would take over from Nana Hemaa.

It would be recalled that Delay and the maiden ‘Afia Schwarzenegger’ actress, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, have had qualms over the years, following the latter’s exit from the show. The two, who used to be good friends, are yet to explain exactly what brought their relationship to a sour end.

At last 2012 RTP Awards, popular Talk Show host Gifty Anti pleaded with the two to get back together and be the friends they used to be, but the call seems to have fallen on deaf ears.

‘Afia Schwarzenegger’ is based on the life of a self-confident and stylish young lady who will do anything to get to the top alongside the daily experiences of her close friends.

Besides the cameo roles played by favorite Ghanaian stars, permanent characters like Tornado, Ella, Cartoon, Lil Wayne will still star amidst new refreshing faces and discovered talents.

Afia Schwarzenneger air on Viasat1 every Saturday at 8.00 p.m.
