Exactly four years ago after the killing of Fennec Okyere, his artiste, Kwaw Kese is still asking who killed his manager.
In a Facebook post, the musician wrote “4 years of sadness and doubts.... Who killed my manager?”
Fennec Okyere, who was the head of MadTime Entertainment and former manager of hiplife artiste, Kwaw Kese was found dead at his Manet Gardens residence, in March 2014.
Fennec was brutally killed by unknown assailants, who broke into his house in Accra on Thursday 13th March 2014. The motivation for the killing is unknown but the police claim they are still investigating the killing.
Fennec Okyere, a former student of O'Reilly Secondary School in Accra, was born on 24 August 1983, and until his death, was Operations and Marketing Manager of Creator Digital, Logistics Company under the Josbon Group of Companies. He also held other positions in other companies within the Josbon Group.
However, the Artiste and Repertoire Manager of Zylofon Media, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog was accused of having a hand in the killing of the late Fennec Okyere.
Bulldog was then arrested in May 2014 after investigations by the Homicide Unit of the Police Criminal Investigative Department (CID) ‘fingered’ him as a prime suspect.
The CID Public Relations Officer, ASP Joseph Darkwah, established that Bulldog had issued numerous of death threats on the life of Fennec.
After arguing the case out for years, the Accra Central District Court discharged Bulldog on January 31, 2018, over the alleged murder of Fennec Okyere.
Bulldog welcomed the judgment with a lot of excitement and thanked God, his family, friends, and lawyers for their support. He, however, described 2018 as his year of grace on Facebook and said Fennec was by his side during the case.
“In his own time, He maketh everything beautiful… A legal tussle for close to four years finally came to a beautiful end yesterday 31st of January…Thanks to my family …my friends …my lawyers …acquaintances and everyone for prayers and support…Thank God for taking me through this experience and strengthening me through the process…Finally, my brother Fennec Okyere will Rest In Peace, he’s been by my side throughout this journey urging me on…Rest well brother….God never disgraced His children..#YEAROFGRACE #sikanhyiraadom,” he stated.
Meanwhile, some musicians, entertainments pundits have been eulogising the late Artiste Manager on Social Media.
Samini on Instagram wrote “@samini_dagaati...... RIP Bro. We do miss you a lot and pray you get justice one day if not soon.
