'What's one goal?' - Shatta Wale blasts Black Stars after poor performance

Ghanaian dancehall musician Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has expressed frustration following the Black Stars’ defeat to Germany in their recent international friendly.

In a video shared on X, Shatta Wale, during a live TikTok session on March 30, 2026, questioned the team’s output, criticising their inability to score more than a single goal in both matches.

According to him, the Black Stars could have performed better instead of managing just one goal against Germany and Austria.

“What should we do with one goal? What is one? In the other game you played, you also scored one goal,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars were defeated 2-1 by Germany in an international friendly.

In the closing moments of the first half, Jonas Adjetey was adjudged to have handled the ball, resulting in a penalty.

Arsenal’s Kai Havertz calmly sent goalkeeper Benjamin Asare the wrong way to open the scoring.

The second half saw the Black Stars push for an equaliser, which eventually came when Fatawu Issahaku scored to make it 1-1.

Just when it appeared Ghana had secured a draw, Deniz Undav lifted the ball past Asare to seal the win for Germany, making it 2-1.

The result brings Ghana’s March 2026 international break to an end, following their earlier 5-1 defeat to Austria, as they continue preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
