What happens to Mentor winner Akos after the car?

Congratulations to Akose for winning the 7th edition of TV3 Mentor music talent hunt and to the organizers for unearthing another great talent for the music industry in Ghana.

I knew in my heart from day one that Akose would win. I had seen music and dynamism in this lady and what made her more likable to people was her good danceable moves anytime she mounted the stage.

We have seen a lot of winners/products of the Mentor music reality shows who just withered away just in a twinkling of an eye, from which stems my quandary as to whether or not Akose is going to fall prey to the tradition or would be able to break the hex.

I don't know what the main objective of Mentor is (to the organizers), but at least I fathom they discover and harness music talents and give winners prizes at the end of the show.

Almost invariably, these winners take their prize monies and cars and we don't hear of them again. It shouldn't be like the show is just to give the winner a cash prize and a car and that's all. Their talents must be branded and marketed.

So that she doesn't die out soon, Akose needs to come out with a single track as soon as possible. If TV3 cannot (or are not to) manage her, they should hand her over to a good record label.

If not, one day all we will hear is a certain winner of Mentor has come out with a certain song. By then, her fans and the general public may have even forgotten about her.

If TV3 Mentor's aim is to groom and discover talents, then they must make sure they promote the winners of their contest very well so that the whole show doesn't look like a shenanigan to rip people off.
