Music executive Lawrence Nana Asiama Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod, has opened up about his loyalty to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and whether he would risk going to prison again for the political party he supports.
In an interview with 4Syte TV, Bullgod was asked whether his dedication to the NDC during the period the party was in opposition was worthwhile now that the party is in power. He responded, “Yes it was. And I’ve always believed in John Dramani Mahama.”
When probed further on whether he would go to prison again for the NDC, BullGod emphasised that his loyalty is not about taking ‘foolish’ risks because his party is in power.

According to the artiste manager, he voted for the right things to be done, so if he were to do wrong, he must be made to face the law.
He added that no matter his relationship with President Mahama, it would look badly on the president if he were to be shielded.
“It doesn’t mean my party is in power, so I will act like a fool. I believe that I voted for the right things to be done, so if I do wrong, I want to be set as an example. I should be the first person facing the law because it will give John Mahama, my big brother, a bad name if he is shielding me,” he said.
Earlier, on February 13, 2026, during an appearance on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, BullGod praised President Mahama’s management of the country’s affairs and disclosed that he receives monthly stipends directly from the president.
“I am on a payroll with His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, since he started working, every month I go for money from his salary. So when they pay him, then he pays me,” he said.
