The mother of Evangelist Patricia Asiamah (Nana Agradaa) has spoken publicly following her daughter’s release from prison.
On Sunday, March 8, 2026, the mother of the Heaven Way Church founder made a rare appearance at the thanksgiving service held to celebrate her daughter’s freedom.
Addressing the congregation, she got emotional as she recounted the difficult period when her daughter was behind bars.
“When my daughter was arrested, I was heartbroken. The thoughts that were running through my head were ‘who will take care of me’,” she said.
She explained that at a time when she felt overwhelmed and uncertain about the future, Agradaa’s husband, Angel Asiamah, stepped in to support the family.

Expressing her gratitude, she showered him with blessings for standing by them during the challenging period.
“God bless you, Angel Asiamah. May the good Lord elevate you. Just as you remembered my family and me in the difficult time, may God do the same for you. He never abandoned me,” she added.
Agradaa was released from prison on March 3, 2026, after serving nine months, which represents two-thirds of her revised one-year custodial sentence in line with Ghana’s remission regulations.
She had initially been handed a 15-year prison sentence on July 3, 2025, after an Accra Circuit Court found her guilty on several charges, including defrauding by false pretence and charlatanic advertisement.
The case was linked to her promotion of an alleged money-doubling scheme during a church service at her ministry in Weija in the Greater Accra Region.
Her sentence was later reduced to one year, which made it possible for her to be released earlier under the country’s standard remission policy.
