“What is ‘weed’… I don’t know anything called ‘weed’. The only ‘we’ I know is a pronoun my teacher taught me in school and not what can be smoked”, this was Patapaa’s answer to Delay’s question about whether he smokes ‘weed’.

He started life as a bartender in Agona Swedru but the ‘One Corner’ hit maker said he never learnt how to drink ‘akpeteshie’ nor smoke ‘weed’ during that period.

Patapaa born Justice Amoah told Delay on her show which was monitored by GhanaWeb that he only takes in Guinness and nothing else.

“I only drink what you drink that’s Guinness,” he told Delay when she quizzed him on whether or not he takes in Akpeteshie.

The leader of ‘Pa2pa soldiers’ after the 19th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) has been ranting about having lost the most popular song of the year award to Fancy Gadam.

The ‘One Corner’ hit maker went berserk and accused the event organizers of taking monies to deny him the glory.

“They [VGMA board] have to stop those things they’ve been doing. If someone deserves an award, you have to give it to him based on his output. They don’t have to take any stupid money to give an award to an undeserving artiste” he said in an interview.

But in an interview with Bola Ray on Starr FM, Patapaa said he spoke out of anger and wants to be forgiven.

“That very day I wasn’t myself and I regret my actions. I felt bad and I felt like going out of the hall. I need to apologise to them, I’m sorry. I want to use this opportunity to apologise to Charterhouse, I was wrong with my actions. My fans were disappointed and I acted wrongly. I didn’t speak well and I apologise to them,” a sober Patapaa said.
