Ghanaian actor Bill Asamoah has said Ghanaians should keep low and allow the National Media Commission to handle telenovela issue currently happening in the country, arguing that every organisation has it's work.

According to him, the NMC are responsible for contents showed on Tv and played on Radio so the organization should look into the issue and come out with a clear results whether the telenovela contents are good for the audience.

Bill Asamoah's comments follow the recent invasion of telenovelas on Ghanaian television.

Speaking on DayBreak Hitz on Hitz103.9FM, the actor told show host KMJ that TV stations should also look at the Ghanaian industry and adopt some productions with good and quality contents.

"I know a few of Ghanaians doing TV Series and we are asking that if you are giving priority to telenovelas coming from outside, you should look at ours as well so we can also show our series on TV." He said.

He advised that if Ghanaians were not enjoying Ghanaian movies because they perceived it as substandard, then stakeholders, including television stations, would need to invest in the industry to make it better and stop showing telenovelas.
