Communications Head for Charterhouse Ghana, George Quaye, seems bemused at suggestions by some commentators that, the 20th edition of the VGMA lacked enough security – www.entertainmentgh.com is not bemused.

Speaking on Hitz FM and of course, monitored by www.entertainmentgh.com, George stated that, the event had enough security with not less than 80 security personnel employed on the night.

According to him, they had security presence, both clothed and unclothed, at the perimeters, backstage, on the stage, entrance plus some even seated among the audience.

He also admitted that, there was a security breach and his employers have reported that breach to the Police Service.

Commotion broke out last Sunday morning when the entourage for Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale clashed on stage, after the latter attempted to mount the stage when the former had won an award and was about to offer an acceptance speech.

Various statements from major units have been released including Vodafone Ghana, Charterhouse, MUSIGA and many others – all condemning the incident.
