YEN.com.gh has reported the various controversies concerning actress Moesha Boduong, who has been in the news for a debatable reason.

In an interview with CNN, Moesha revealed that she sleeps with a married men for money.

According to Moesha, she is forced to do this because life in Ghana is so hard that most women cannot fend for themselves without the help of a ‘sponsor.

Meosha went on to explain that she has to pay a rent advance of two years in Ghana, and because she started work not long ago, she couldn’t have paid for the rent without being a mistress.

This is what Moesha told Christiane Amanpour in the interview on CNN:

“In Ghana our economy is such that you just need someone to take care of you because you can't make enough money as a woman here. When you want to get an apartment, in Ghana you pay two years in advance and I just started working, where will I get the money.”

On what the man expects in return, Moesha said, “He expects me to be loyal and just to date him only and give him sex when he wants. You can't say no. You have to give him what he wants otherwise he is going to think you are cheating on him.”

But CNN has spoken, saying it will not take Moesha’s view to represent the whole of Ghanaian women. CNN tweeted:

“This is one woman's view. We don't take it to represent all of Ghana. If you take a good look around our page, you will see positive portrayals of Africans. We are always happy to hear your story suggestions so please message us.”

Moesha’s comment has earned her much criticisms from the public and from her own colleague celebrities.

Celebrities including Afia Schwarzenegger, Efia Odor, Vicky Zugah, and others have all condemned Moesha.
