Wayoosi endorses Mahama for 2024 election, cites Kejetia Market construction as a key reason

Kumawood actor, Joseph Osei, popularly known as Wayoosi, has voiced his support for the election of National Democratic Congress (NDC's) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, in the forthcoming 2024 polls.

He cited Mahama's track record of initiating countless developmental projects that have bolstered various sectors within the nation, fostering a conducive environment for business prosperity.

Wayoosi highlighted the Kejetia Market, a project in Kumasi attributed to the former president, as a testament to Mahama's commitment to business support, which has significantly swayed his voting preference.

In an interview with Zionfelix, monitored by GhanaWeb, Wayoosi appealed to the Ghanaian electorate to cast their votes for Mahama in the imminent elections as a means to navigate the country out of its economic challenges.

"I would be immensely pleased to see Mahama ascend to the presidency once more. His personal contributions aside, the 24-hour economy strategy he proposes is promising, given his prior accomplishments," the actor said.

"Take a glance at the splendid Kejetia market in the Ashanti Region; his four-year tenure was marked by diligent efforts. Isn't that reason enough to grant him another term?" he expressed.

Meanwhile, Mr. John Mahama is set to contend with the Vice President and flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, alongside contenders from other political factions, in his quest for the presidency.

The anticipated general election is scheduled for December 7, 2024.
