Vlisco, the leading name in African textiles manufacturing in the world and known for its original designs and colourful prints has launched its latest product christened ‘Viola for you By Vlisco’.
The colourful and impressive event took place at the Vlisco Store at Accra Mall on Saturday 28th June, 2014.
It was graced by the past Vlisco Ambassador, fashion icons, designers, business leaders from Ghana’s corporate world and young consumers of Vlisco products.
Mr. Kofi Boateng, the Group Finance Director/Incoming Managing Director of Vlisco Ghana who performed the official launch of the product reiterated Vlisco’s commitment to “consumer satisfaction and pride.”
He said Vlisco’s impressive performance and long years clothing West African consumers can be attributed to the company’s deep understanding of the fashion needs of its market and its ability to develop designs that syncs well with its consumers. He said, ‘as a company we always seek to remain relevant to our consumers. It is this commitment that inspired us to identify a gap in the market place for the introduction of Voila for You’
Voila for You is targeted at the “young at heart and upwardly mobile consumer.” It is designed for people who are looking for “African fashion fabrics that will help them look modern, stylish and classy everyday” he added. ‘Viola for you’ is designed “to help create your own fashionable looks.”
The ‘Viola for you’ collection has a maximum of six (6) colours in one design, bearing the traditional trademark of Vlisco which always designs with the concept of making the customer stand out of the pack and exude confidence.
Shedding further light on the new product, Mr. Stephen Badu, Marketing Manager of Vlisco Ghana, explained that ‘Viola for you’ will be positioned as a “fast-fashion” product. This means that the designs will not be available for re-orders. Once the current set of designs runs out, a new set of designs would be outdoored. The old designs will not be re-printed. He announced that there will be four collections launches every year.
Mr. Badu therefore urged consumers to take advantage of the moment and buy their favourite designs immediately they see it because once it runs out, there is no way they can get it again. He added that the new products are priced moderately to meet the fashion needs of the “younger contemporary consumers.”
