Victoria storms music scene, set to touch lives with ‘Onokwafo’

The Ghana music industry is about to experience one of the finest artistry of gospel music with the coming of a fresh empress of Christian music onto the bloc.

She goes by the name Victoria Beeko Danso and her maiden album is ‘Onokwafo’ which means ‘Faithful,’ illustrating the never ending faithfulness of God.

It is a fact that this album has come to stay and would soon make all the rounds on the major radio stations and TV stations across the length and breadth of the country since it is exceptionally life-touching.

Fusing biblical doctrines of Christian living with real life situations, Vic as she is popularly known, sings ‘Onokwafo’ including her 11 other hit songs on the album.

The ‘Onokwafo’ Album contains 12 songs which has hit songs like ‘All The Glory,’ ‘He Will Do It Again’ and ‘Me Som Wo Awurade’ in the Akan dialect which means ‘I will Worship You God.’

Victoria Beeko Danso is a 32-year-old lady, who was born to former GBC Sports Commentator, the late Eric Beeko and Madam Agnes Adusei on the 20th of April, 1980. She is the 4th of five children.

She is married to Mr. Maxwell Kwabena Danso who also happens to be her producer for over six years now and have been blessed with two lovely beautiful daughters, Erica Nyhiraba Danso and Michelle Awurabena Anuonyam Danso.

In an exclusive interview which sought to ascertain the vision and motivation for this project, Vic as she is affectionately call tells us that she is bringing into the gospel industry a message on the need for people to have one-on-one encounter as well as developing a personal relationship with God. According to her, worship with God in spirit and in truth always drew people closer to God to hear the wonders he has spoken; to see the beauty of his face; to fulfill the desires of his heart and to discover his faithfulness.

She said the album is meant to encourage people that no matter where you have reached in life, the God that we serve would always remain faithful so we should believe in him.

When asked how it all begun, she said she grew up in a family house where God was part and parcel of everything they do.

She started singing when she was 5 years old in the Children’s choir at the Redemption Hour Faith Ministries in Bubuashie which was by then located in Laterbiokorshie in Accra.

Her passion for singing grew stronger at a very tender age and she ended up singing most of the solos in the choir. She became lead singer from the children’s choir right through to the senior choir. “God has been faithful and he is still faithful and he will never let us down or fail us. Just as he said in 1 Thessalonians 5:24, ‘……Faithful is he that has called us and he will do it.' I therefore take my inspiration and motivation from the fact that Jesus Christ gave up his riches and glory taking on the position of a servant who died for us, to bridge the gap between us and God. I think it is high time we showed the world that we serve a God who fetches water with the basket to disgrace the basket and this is the message I have for everybody”, Vic stated.

She went on to say that this message of salvation needs to reach every single soul on the globe; so admittedly, she had indeed joined this great commission of Christ Jesus because she wanted to share Jesus with everyone.

“Another factor is my love and passion for children; they have become so defenseless, vulnerable and innocent. I have a vision of creating a foundation for the children of head porters, hawkers, teenagers, generally, helping underprivileged kids to get better education, healthcare and good life," Vic further revealed.

She continued that she is poised to her ministry as a platform to win souls for Christ and to help improve the livelihood of humanity.
