Viasat 1 introduces new programming in November

Viasat 1 will be introducing three new programs this November in addition to its already burgeoning programs. These would include ‘Second Time Around’, ‘Clinic Matters’ and ‘America’s Next Top Model’ cycles 7 and 8.

At the beginning of the year Viasat 1 revealed it had signed deals with five of the leading studios in Hollywood and is thus poised to telecast some of the best productions on the Ghanaian airwaves. The 2004 Hollywood sitcom Second Time Around premieres Monday 8th November 2010 at 8:30pm. The new half-hour romantic comedy series chronicles the adventurous relationship of a divorced couple that decides to remarry and pursue wedded bliss one more time. Second Time Around stars real-life couple Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker (both of the Television hit series SOULFOOD) as newlyweds Jackson and Ryan Muse. Jackson a hardworking Architect and Ryan a free-spirited artist are enjoying their more romantic second marriage after a heartfelt reunion. In this first season focus will be on the couple’s rediscovery of each other. The pair will deal with some of the same problems they run from their first marriage- money, control, jealousy, insecurity and in-laws. Second time around will take the place of the weekdays slot of THE GAME until more seasons are acquired.

Another introduction is Nigerian produced medical sitcom Clinic Matters, which premieres 8th November 2010 at 7:30pm. Clinic Matters is a comedy series that dramatizes the everyday experience of a busy doctor, his committed nurses and their interesting patients. Starring AMAA winner Emeka Ossai, Clinic Matters is a unique story as it comically depicts real situations in an everyday hospital. It is the first original medical comedy series in Nigeria. Clinic Matters airs on Viasat 1 weekdays at 7:30pm.

Other programs making their debut on the channel include cycles 7 and 8 of the hit reality TV series America’s Next Top Model. The all new episodes make their premieres 2nd and 19th November 2010 respectively at 5:30pm, and take you into the intricate and often underestimated world of fashion and modeling.

In addition a weekend re-run of the hit telenovela series STORM OVER PARADISE starts showing Saturday 6TH NOVEMBER 2010 at 5pm. Viasat 1 is dedicated to bringing to their valued viewers quality programs and will thus continue to provide such.
