Variety Show At Alliance Fran?aise

The Alliance Fran?aise and the French Embassy in Accra in collaboration with the Dream Group will on Wednesday, February 9 2005 present a variety show that will involve music, dance and fashion.

The Dream Group comprise the Moroccan artist/designer Khadija El Mrani, the famous jazz singer Rama Brew, reggae star Black Prophet, ace dancer/musician Baffour Kyeremanten, the Cuban salsa/merenge dancer Magui Morffi and others.

Khadija El Mrani will showcase exclusive interior decorations, wood and metal furniture, wine cabinets, beads and men's clothing, all of which are realised through a fusion of Moroccan and Ghanaian designs.

Together with a number of talented young men and women, the Cuban dancer Magui Moffi will introduce various dance forms alongside Mambo Mix, Afro Cuban, Salsa and Conga.

Jazz singer Rama Brew and the slick jazz pianist/xylophonist Charles Dewey alongside a number of musicians will also entertain the audience with several jazz tunes.

Reggae fans will certainly have a good time with the young reggae star Black Prophet and his Gye Nyame Roots who will present a series of compositions based on a dramatic blending of Reggae and Ghanaian rhythms.

Dancer/seperewa player, Baffour Kyeremanten will lead a group of young traditional drummers and dancers to display a couple of Ghanaian traditional dance pieces.

The Alliance Fran?aise, French Embassy, Bindu Travel and Tours, 123 Salsa and Effie Bella are sponsoring the programme.
