Van Vicker is guest at The Carlow African Festival in Ireland this weekend

Actor and director Van Vicker will be a guest at this year’s edition of The Carlow African Festival to be held in Ireland from Friday May 3 to Sunday May 5.

Bendu Sudan, a movie he directed, and Paparazzi Eye in the Dark, one he featured in, will be premiered at the festival. The premier will be followed by a Q&A session. Ghanaian actor Koby Maxwell is the other Ghanaian guest.

This is not the first time a Ghanaian movie is being screened at the festival. Shirley Frimpong Manso’s Checkmate took its turn in 2011.

The Carlow African Festival started in 2005 and has had movie professionals such as Nadia Buari, Desmond Elliot, Jeta Amata, Bonnie Henna, Vusi Kunene and others as guests.
