Unprecedented Miss Ghana Pageant In The Offing

This year’s Miss Ghana Beauty Pageant is an event everyone should look out for.
Publicist for Miss Ghana, Obed Boafo and Emmanuel Tettey Kodzie, a representative of Exclusive Events Ghana presented an unprecedented image of this year’s event to fans in Kumasi.
The two, who were granted audience on the no. 1 weekend entertainment show in Kumasi – the Focus Citi show on Focus FM, revealed that things were going to be very different with this year’s beauty event.
This year’s show is the maiden one for Exclusive Events Ghana, now in charge of the pageant.
They told Kwame Poku (DJ Scientific), host of the programme, that three Hyundai cars will be given out to the first three. The winner will take a cash prize of 15000GHC while the first and second runners up take 10000 and 5000 Ghana Cedis respectively. That notwithstanding, the first three will be housed in the Manet Luxury house for a year and will also have scholarship opportunities to pursue education at the Benedict College University in the United States of America.
The theme for this year’s Miss Ghana scheduled to take place at the Accra International Conference Centre on the 29th September is; the evolution of beauty.
Emmanuel said a lady should be Ghanaian, between the ages of 18 and 25 and must have a sense of purpose to be eligible to contest this year’s Miss Ghana, adding that auditions are still underway and forms could be obtained at Fidelity Bank branches countrywide.
In all, 20 ladies will be vying for this year’s Miss Ghana crown.
The audition for the middle belt comprising the Ashanti, Brong Ahafo and Eastern regions takes off on Tuesday 17th June, 2012 at the Golden Tulip Hotel at Kumasi.
