U.S councilman endorses Okyeame Kwame's Hepatitis B campaign

Ghana's versatile rapper Okyeame Kwame in the wake of participating in this year's edition of the 'Arts on Third Festival' in New York had secured another support for his campaign against Hepatitis B.

In a courtesy call paid by his management team and entourage to Yuhanna Edwards, the longest serving council member in Mount Vernon, New York, he was applauded for the initiative.

The council member, who doubles as Chairman for 'Bridge Africa to 360 Incorporation', a coalition of non-governmental organisations in the country further declared his willingness to support the initiative. This will involve a half-year project to solicit funds to assist fund the OK Hepatitis B Foundation.

He, among other things promised to get on board elected officials and religious leaders from the African-American community to support the OK Foundation campaign to eradicate Hepatitis B by 2030.

Bridge to Africa 360 was established to create partnership between Africa and the diaspora for the purpose of providing financial, moral, educational and expert consultative support to organisations in less developed countries.

The award winning rapper Okyeame Kwame, aside inspiring creative difference with his music has been championing the HepB initiative since 2009 through education, awareness creation, screening and vaccination of thousands of Ghanaians.
