Tourist Board closes down more Night Clubs

The Ghana Tourist Board has closed down the Reema Night Club at Osu and ‘T’ Base Night Club at the Weija Gicel Estate all in Accra.

A statement signed by Mr. Ben Ohene Ayeh, public relations manager of the Board, said the two night clubs were closed down for failure to meet the board’s registration and licensing requirement.

The statement said that 4Q Night Club, Adults Night Club and Jazz Optimist all at Asylum Down have voluntarily closed down.

The board wishes to remind all night clubs operating illegally and who continue to engage the services of strip and nude dancers as side attractions will face severe sanctions.

It stated that failure to adhere to GTB’s operational requirements would lead to the close of their establishments in collaboration with the security agencies.
