Tourism Minister nominates Reggie ‘n’ Bollie as ambassadors for Europe Sources

Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Catherine Afeku has nominated 2015 The X Factor runners-up Reggie ‘n’ Bollie as Ghana’s tourism ambassadors for Europe.

The nomination is expected to be gazetted in September, when the duo will make a trip back home.

Mrs Afeku announced this on Saturday, June 3 at the 2017 GUBA Awards in the United Kingdom. The Tourism Minister joined Ghanaians in the UK for the awards, which are reserved for Ghanaians based in the UK albeit not exlcusively. It is in its 6th edition. Mrs Afeku presented the Made in Ghana Award, which went to Peini Skin Care.

Among the winners on the night were Anas Aremeyaw Anas, who won the Exceptional Journalist Award, Dr Michael K. Obeng, who won the Humanitarian Spirit Award, 20-year-old Kelvin Doe, a Sierra Leonean who won the Young Innovator Award, and Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, adjudged the most excellent in business.

The event was emceed by Anita Erskine and Congolese comedian Eddie Kadi.
