Top romantic turn-offs

Infidelity and body odour are the top turn-offs in a fiancé/fiancée. If you're anything like most people out there, you probably have a long list of no-nos when it comes to potential partners.

And while you might be able to look past a dodgy fashion sense or a penchant for leaving the toilet seat up if you REALLY love someone, there are certain things that are harder (or even impossible) to ignore.

But are your dislikes in line with others'? E-cigarette brand Vapor Couture carried out a study to get behind traits that make the least desirable fiancé or fiancée. In total, 1,000 people were polled: and luckily, it seems men and women are in sync when picking their top five turn-offs.

The top least desirable trait was infidelity - after all, if a partner can't be true to you now, it's not looking good for your marriage. In fact, 83 per cent of women voted it the worst trait.

Second up was bad hygiene - B.O. when getting intimate is understandably a turn off, with 68 per cent of women voting it just behind cheating.

Next up, with 64 per cent, was unemployment, with smoking (57 per cent) following. Being financially irresponsible came in fifth, with 56 per cent putting it in the top five.

Participants were also asked to rank the traits that would lead to divorce, with similar themes featuring. However, money problems replaced bad hygiene in second place when it came to what would push people to file the papers.

An interesting fact also came to light: women seemed to have less patience than men for the things that bothered them. In fact, females were 13 per cent more likely to deem the top five turn-offs deal breakers than men.

After all - it's good to know what you can't live with before agreeing to be with someone forever.
