TicTac Hits USA

Aboard the Delta Airlines New York bound flight from Accra, a young man said to this writer, "Yo your boy is coming in few days", but that message did not quite click as to who he was referring to. A few days later after arrival, a call came on the "cell" and this great musician mentioned that he had arrived a few days ago and was chilling in A-Town (Atlanta). That call certainly confirmed the message that had previously been given by the young man on the plane who was a younger brother.

Recognition should be given where recognition is due. It is always imperative that one is acknowledged for their longevity and achievements in his or her lifetime. That acknowledgement is a recipe for perseverance of those bestowed the honour and this particular individual is no exception. This individual goes by the name Nana Kwaku Okyere Duah and hails from Kwamo in the Ashanti Region, known and loved by fans worldwide as Tic-Tac. He is one of the pioneers of Hiplife, called; "The Most Wanted", well admired, energized and an aggressive performer who always gives his fans more than they ask for whenever he performs.

His great artistic talent attracted world renowned video director, Gill Green, who decided to come to Africa to shoot his video alongside superstar Akon, one of Hip- hop's finest. While attending pre CAN 2008 activities including Nana Akufo-Addo's meeting with the Press and the Entertainment industry personnel, he gave an incredible accapella performance of "Beware of Dogs", perfectly displaying his love for his fans and his artistic ability.

Tic-Tac, "the Kangaroo man" has been praised for the famous "kangaroo dance'" which inspired Michael Essien celebrating his goal during the Black Star's match against Morocco in the CAN 2008 which just ended. The 'Kangaroo' track is from his must have hit album 'Accra Connection'. Tic-Tac rubs shoulders with the best and "The Kangaroo dance" has now become a phenomenon.

VIP recently launched their incredible and emotional documentary produced by Hashim Haruna, CEO of Boogie Down Productions at Nima, Accra and he was one of the special invited guests. During the occasion, Tic-Tac was cited by Reggie Rockstone and VIP as being one of the pioneers of Hiplife and one of the hardworking artistes they have worked with. Tic-Tac is visiting the United States briefly and is temporarily residing in Atlanta, Georgia. Stay tuned for more information on this incredible journey by one of most loved entertainers in the entertainment industry.
