Tic Tac To Perfrom In Celebration Of Refugee Week

Nana Kweku Okyere Duah a.k.a Tic Tac will be in London this week for a special live performance upon an invitation to perform for the launch of the Barking & Dagenham Refugee Network on Saturday 25th June.

Refugee Week is a UK wide festival that celebrates the great contribution made by refugees to UK life and promotes understanding of why people become refugees. Every year, hundreds of arts, cultural and educational events are organised across the UK.

Thousands of people all over the country are preparing to take part in the seventh annual Refugee Week festival, celebrating the enormous economic and cultural contribution that refugees and asylum seekers make to the UK, and promoting understanding about the reasons why people seek sanctuary.

Activities of the day will include, Ugandan & Congolese dancing, poetry, and live music from Zaire, Turkey & Ghana.

The organiser’s say ‘Tic Tac is very popular and his music is recognised all across Africa, we felt it ideal to include him in our celebrations’.

Tic Tac is honoured to be part of the celebrations; he is looking forward to representing Ghana at the event.
