The week has finally come to a close and I must say it has been a very challenging week in all aspects of our lives.
This week, the most discussed topic in Ghana was the intention of the government to use the heritage fund for their flagship policy, Free SHS. The country got talking and vehemently opposing the idea because the money there is meant for future generation.
Now, let's get into our entertainment industry.
1. Don Moen headlines Ghana@60 concert
Down Moen is expected to headline Ghana's 60th anniversary concert. The event which is reported to be organized by Perez chapel was received with contempt as some section of Ghanaians think it is a total disregard for Ghanaian artistes for a foreigner to headline their anniversary concert.
2. Reggie and Billie Threaten to sue Fan milk for using their song without authorization
Fan Milk Ghana Limited is one of the leading manufacturers and retailers of milk and fruit-based ice cream products in the country. Reggie and Bollie insist they did not authorize the use of their song for the commercial, thus, threatened to file a law suit against the company.
3. Pete Edochie in Ghana
Nigerian actor, Pete Edochie is in Ghana to feature in a movie. At a press conference to outdoor the cast for the yet-to-be-shot movie, the actor indicated that he has not featured in any Ghanaian movie in the past because most Ghanaian producers lack the pedigree.
4. Prodigal of VVIP jabs SM
Prodigal of VVIP got mad over the fact that Shatta Movement was dividing the people of Nima. The rapper in a post on Facebook used some unprintable words against the Shatta Movement but the comments that followed were nothing to write home about. SM fans descended on the rapper like they do to everybody who criticises their boss.
