Popular comedian Derrick Kobina Bonney, also known as DKB has hit back at persons, he claims are opposing positive developments within the Ga-Adangbe community.

In a video shared on Instagram after attending the launch of the Richard Nii Armah Quaye (RNAQ) Ga-Dangme Youth Scholarship Fund, DKB expressed appreciation to businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye for supporting brilliant but financially disadvantaged young people from the community.

The scholarship fund, launched in Accra on September 14, 2026, is aimed at helping Ga-Dangme students pursue tertiary education.

The speaker said the initiative was a welcome intervention for young people who need financial support to further their education.

He then sent a direct message to persons he believes deliberately oppose good initiatives meant to benefit the Ga-Adangbe people.

“Those who antagonise Ga-Adangbes when good things come our way, this time you better shut up!” he said.

DKB also thanked Quaye for “extending a helping hand to Ga-Dangbe intelligent youth.”

The scholarship initiative, established by the RNAQ Foundation in partnership with the Ga Mantse Foundation, seeks to reduce financial barriers for brilliant but needy Ga-Dangme students pursuing tertiary education.

The launch was held under the theme “One Ga-Dangme, One Heart, Rising Together”, with calls for greater unity and investment in education among the Ga-Dangme people.
