There's no celebrity in the world - Nigeria's Preye

Award Winning Nigerian Gospel Musician, Preye Odede known in the showbiz circles as Preye was present at the just ended Give It Up Praise TV concert which took place at the forecourt of Trade Fair.

He gave an electrifying and holy spirit filled performance and got the crowd asking for more.

But before he could bring his soothing act to an end, he reminded the patrons that, there was no celebrity in Ghana and the world as a whole.

“There is no celebrity in Ghana. God is the only one that has the power to do and undo. Beyonce and the others are not celebrities.”

Preye is from Isampou town in Ekeremor in LGA in Bayelsa state,a graduate of microbiology from Abia State University in Uturu has recounted some of the challenges he went through in life but that according to him did not prevent him from surfing to stardom.

The Port-Harcourt based gospel musician announced his presence in the industry in 2011 with his hit single “BIKO“and later released his maiden album ‘’MY SCRIPT’’ in 2012 which had award winning song Ebezina.

Preye interacting with the crowd disclosed that the inspiration behind Ebezina is a true life experience he encountered as at the time he was doing his National Service in Nigeria.

“Life became very difficult to the extend that I did not even have money to renew my rent and the only option was to sleep in a church until God poured out his favour on me” he said.

Preye is out with a brand new riveting single titled ‘’BULIE’’ a thorough worship song meant to serenade the Almighty and also to get people hallow his name.
