There is hatred among Ghanaian musicians – Frank Guy

Japan-based Ghanaian musician, Frank Guy, has disclosed that, hatred and the absence of love among Ghanaian musicians is the cause of the regress and stagnation of some musicians compared to some well known African musicians and hopes Ghanaian musicians compete fiercely and match up with their competitors on the world stage.

Speaking with www.flexgh.com, Frank Guy stated that, precious things are hard to find and love among musicians in Ghana is not felt in the music industry. He believes there are a lot of things happening which is not helping the growth of the music industry in Ghana, hence his willingness to address some of these issues through music.

In his quest, he has ridden on Brainy beatz’s riddim called attitude riddim to record a song titled No love to express and share his feelings about happenings in the music industry.

According to him, he finds it difficult to do collaboration with some A-list artists which is not a good sign to the music industry. He is however asking stakeholders of the music industry to take a critical look at this problem because it destroys the music industry and it will not favor the next generation of musicians in the country.

Meanwhile, a few weeks ago some musicians upon gracing late dancehall artiste’s one week memorial lamented that, the media doesn’t support Ghanaian artistes, hence the need to look their way. Frank Guy thinks otherwise. He believes the media is trying its possible best to push the artistes to the world stage, and that no media personality will plan to destroy or kill talents.

Frank Guy, a co-member of MidasTouch; executive producers of the late Afrobeat dancehall act, Ebony Reigns, revealed that, it was even difficult for them to get a collaboration for her from her female colleagues because of the absence of love among them.

He finally thanked his fans for their support towards his career and he also urged everyone to show love to each other.
