Ghanaian multi award winning producer and professional sound engineer Posigee has refuted claims he stole a beat from colleague producer Shawers Ebiem.

Speaking in an interview on “Showbiz Agenda” on Zylofon FM 102.1, he told the host Samuel Atuobi Baah known as Sammy Flex that he never stole any beat from Shawers Ebiem but it was he (Shawers Ebiem) who contacted him that he had a beat that he wished he (Posigee) gives it out to any artiste.

“I never stole any beat from Shawers. He told me that he had a beat and he wanted me to give it out to any artiste. So I called Shatta and told him about it and he asked me to send and I sent it through email just in front of Shawers.

"I told Shatta Wale that I didn’t produce the beat so he should give shout outs to Shawers because he produced it. I never knew Shatta Wale also released his songs the next day so I woke up in the morning and I checked my Twitter and it was Shatta Wale “Ayoo” and my name was mentioned as the producer. I even called Wale and told him I didn’t produce the beat.

"I later told Shawers that Shatta Wale has released the song but my name was mentioned in it as the producer and he said it was cool but in case award comes or anything, i should recognize him. I was surprised he was spreading rumors that I stole his beat” he narrated.

According to him, he told Shatta Wale he didn’t produce the beat but it was Shatta wale who made the mistake and mentioned his name as the producer.

He further revealed that some artistes smoke and drink in his studio before recording because they claim it gives them inspiration.

"Oh yhh they smoke everyday in my studio. They say it`s inspiration but nothing comes out of it. Sometimes I have to leave for them to do their things but I have never smoked some before” he added.

In addition to this, he pointed out that many artistes haven’t shown appreciation for the good works he has done for them after he gives them beat for free and the song becomes hit. According to him, he hasn’t made much from production but he charges about 2,500 to 4000 cedis when he mixes and masters a song.

“I can say no artiste has shown appreciation for works I have done for them. For Sarkodie, when he gives me something it`s because we were friends before but not for Showbiz. I haven’t received any appreciation because I bought my car by myself, my studio and all the equipment” he revealed.

To the end, he pointed out that Sarkodie is not greedy as it’s being rumored.

"Sarkodie is not greedy but I don’t know why people have been saying he is. I know some old ladies in my lane that he sends Angel and others to shop for them so I don’t know what people expect him to buy for them” he concluded.
