Highly-respected comedians on the African continent from Nigeria and Ghana were present to wow hundreds of people at the poolside of the Golden Tulip Hotel during the Corporate Golden Comedy and Dinner Dance on Saturday, December, 23.
The event though with a late start gathered momentum by the minutes and soon after the buffet service which lasted about an hour, all was set to roll.
Shortcut who was the Mcee for the first part of the show opened the show with some back to back jokes, paving the way for fast-rising Nigerian comedian; Legend who then took the audience through five solid minutes of undeniable comic therapy.
Klint D Drunk was the next in line to perform after which the young Ghanaian Comedy prince, Khemikal took the stage to give the audience a moment of Ghana-flavoured first-class comedy to cut the growing Nigerian trend on the night.
It was then the turn of the King of Modern Day African Comedy, A.Y who took the stage and gave the hundreds of audience a moment of rib-breaking comedy to call to an end the first part of the show.
The second part of the show which was all-Nigerian commenced with Klint D Drunk bouncing back to give the wonderful audience some minutes of memorable comic pleasure by way of introducing the second and final part of the show as the McGee.
First to perform during this part of the show was MC Abbey (The Prof) who gave all gathered at the poolside of the Golden Tulip Hotel on Saturday night a wonderful moment during his performance.
The event was then climaxed with a mouth watery performance from veteran Nigerian Comedian and Actor, John Okafor has known popularly as Mr.Ibu. His well-crafted jokes and unique movement on stage coupled with his weird dancing skills won for him several cheers and claps during his moments on stage.
What’s more, the comedians organised a kissing competition among some randomly selected couples from the audience and the winners were given 40 inches Samsung LED TV set.
The CIX Productions in Collaboration with Golden Tulip Hotel event was also brought to life by the soul awakening musical interludes sealed by one of the highly-rated live band Groups in Ghana, The Naked Truth Band.
In attendance were some celebrated personalities such as Prof. Azumah Nelson, The Eze-Igbo Ghana (The Igbo King of Ghana), Celebrated Ghanaian blogger, Ameyaw Debrah, Some Ministers of State and their families as well as the media.
