Gomoa Central MP and staunch supporter of Shatta Wale, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, has claimed that the dancehall artiste is targeting a concert at Wembley Stadium instead of London’s O2 Arena because the latter would be too small to accommodate his fans.
Speaking on United Showbiz, A-Plus said Shatta Wale and the SM Movement have not staged a concert at the O2 Arena because of concerns over the venue’s capacity.
“As for us, the 4Lyfe and SM Movement family, the reason we can’t hold a concert at the O2 is because that place is too small for us. If Shatta plays a concert at such a space, people might get hurt or even die because the crowd is too much,” he said.

According to him, the camp is instead exploring the possibility of securing Wembley Stadium, which has a capacity of about 80,000, or the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a future concert.
“We are trying to see if they would give us Wembley. We would fill up Wembley Stadium, which has a capacity of about 80,000. That is where we want to play, or maybe Tottenham Stadium,” he added.
A-Plus noted that hosting such large-scale concerts would benefit Ghana’s tourism and creative arts industry while also encouraging other Ghanaian musicians to pursue similar international milestones.
He further congratulated Stonebwoy for his achievements and urged other artistes to aspire to perform on major global stages.
However, he stressed that adequate support and sponsorship remain crucial for Ghanaian musicians seeking to organise such events abroad.
“We would also congratulate Stonebwoy and urge all artistes to also try and do it. As we are saying all of this, support and sponsorship are also very important,” he stated.
