Femi Amusan is one-third of the Nigerian breakthrough R&B group, G Xploits but it is more than his smooth voice that has been making waves in the Nigerian showbiz industry. Femi is a man of many traits an artiste: a model, a catwalk instructor, a presenter, and a fashion and style consultant among others but no matter whichever cap he wears, his fashion sense always shines through.

The 26 year old native of Ogun State who measures at height: 193cm, chest: 42, waist: 30.5, neck: 16, pants: 46, shoe size: 45, shares his Urban/contemporary classic look and sometimes crazy and quirky style with us.

What’s the most expensive fashion item you ever bought? The most expensive has to be my Marc Jacobs’ glasses and black Paul Smith shoes.

Have your ever made smart purchases of ‘cheap’ item that people see and think it is very expensive?

Oh yeah! I think we are all culprits of that. There was this nice studded leather belt and nice shades I got off an average shopping store in London. My friends saw me wear them and thought I paid a fortune to get them. It’s not about how expensive your accessories or clothing items are, it’s about being comfortable and stylish with your ensembles.

Did you ever buy an item that you took home to find out you didn’t like?

No! I’m a shopaholic in my own rights and I never go wrong with my choices. Let’s just say someone has got a good eye.

What would you not be caught dead wearing?

I will not be caught dead wearing a lemon suit over yellow pants – fashion chaos of all times!

Favourite fashion designers?

My favourite Nigerian designers are Deola Sagoe, Zooto Designs, Jewel by Lisa, MAI, Tiffany Amber, Niddles ‘n’ Stitches, and LDA. Internationally, I love Gucci, D&G, Tom Ford, Paul Smith, Marc Jacobs, and Salvatore Ferragamo.

Suits or African wear?

Suits definitely.

Boxer shorts or briefs? Briefs, Calvin Klein.

Cufflinks or button? Cufflinks

Tie or no tie?

Ties most definitely, because they speak volumes of class and sophistication.

Leather or metallic watch? It has to be leather wristwatches although wouldn’t mind a Rolex as a gift.

Favorite brand of watch?

Swatch series, G.shock, Hublot.

Shoes or sandals? Definitely shoes.

Favourite shoes?

My black Paul Smith shoes, my grey Converse from Zara.

Nike, Puma or Addidas? Nike baby!!

Beer or vodka? Neither, I’d do white wine instead.

Sagging.

Cocoa Butter or Vaseline Cocoa butter but moisturizing lotion will do.

Either, it depends on my mood and ensemble.

Love bright colours; blue, grey, black, red.
