Stop competing with secular artistes - Gospel musicians warned

Nicholas Omane Acheampong in an interview with Happy FM’s Dr Cann has cautioned gospel artists to stay away from secular artists.

“If you observe carefully, after two or three albums, some musicians slow down or are nowhere to be found. It’s just a few artists that get to the legendary status. As an artist, if you know the secret to your craft you will be around for a long time. If you want to do God’s work, the fundamental aspect is to be spiritual. If you are a gospel artist and you are competing with Shatta Wale regarding who has more money…..”

"If you are an artist and you follow the entertainment industry who always want to brand you for you to make money, you will make money but the end is the problem.” The Aposor singer continued; “Every occupation has its path, so if you are into ministering don’t associate with people who sing to whet people’s appetite or alcohol and fornication to be the same.

"Because the ministering is not for your sake, Shatta Wale and Sarkodie sing their songs or themselves but Gospel artists work for God. The Alewa Ofori Amponsah brought is for his sake.”
