Stop comparing artistes – Kiki Banson

Experienced Ghanaian artist manager and boss of EKB Records, Kiki Banson has described as “unnecessary”, attempts to compare music talents.

Reacting to the recent lyrical feud between competing artists which has generated much talk across the country especially on several media platforms, the former manager of Becca explained that every artist’s talent is unique.

“For me, I find it unnecessary [to compare artists]. I always say that there aren’t two artists in this world that are the same. You cannot compare artistes,” Mr. Banson stated on GH One TV review show ‘PUNDITS’ hosted by George Quaye.

“So as soon as you start comparing artists, for me, I start questioning your understanding of even what you’re doing,” he added.

Kiki Banson went on: “You cannot be better than the next art because it is a different game altogether. Talents are not the same. You cannot compare yourself to another if you understand what art is all about.”
